Impressed with the work we've done with NutriSystem and Bowflex, Oregon Aesthetic Technologies asked us to help them create a campaign for ANSR — a new acne fighting treatment aimed at teenagers. ANSR combines phototherapy with advanced topical treatments — a pretty innovative approach. So we worked with them to create not only an image for ANSR, but to give birth to a unique and irreverent approach for its DRTV campaign.
We used a visual technique called planned discontinuity, which takes a teen's short attention span and uses it to our advantage. Basically, we took a blender and threw in a social networking site, the ANSR products virtual website, a beautiful blog hostess, a young web designer, and hit go. The result was a spectacular mix of visuals and media elements, textures and perspectives, all coming together in a truly different and "clutter-cutting" direct response campaign.
